No news is no news, part II

I’d like to say that I’m hanging tough or at least hanging loose, but the truth is I’m hanging fire. No word from my doc tonight, despite my plea yesterday that he call me asap. For one day I’d like to think he could make my case a priority. Maybe I should fake some bizarre symptoms so House can be my doctor.

Unbelievable. He probably had an important golf game.

Sometimes prayer feels like all we're armed with is a gossamer--"When I was in distress, I sought the LORD; at night I stretched out untiring hands and my soul refused to be comforted." But the psalmist remembers that the gossamer ties him (and us) to a mighty God--"I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds. Your ways, O God, are holy. What god is so great as our God?"

House, eh? Clearly, you've not lost your wry humor. Hang in there--and do ask that MD how the back nine went;) Praying for you and Ellen, and Allie and Nick, too,
