Fatal gene

Staring down the prospect of my next CT scan is nothing compared to what the woman in this article is facing. Holy smoke. Would I take a genetic test for cancer, if one existed? What’s better: to know for sure you have a deadly disease, or not know? These are really big questions. This article, “Facing life with a fatal gene,” is from the NY Times (click here). It's a fine piece of medical writing.

Peter: I've often thought of that- taking a genetic test for Parkinson's. My Grandmother "died" from it after suffering over 10 years. And you noticed my slight tremor when we were at the beach. I don't know that I want to view that possibility now. Damn, I just had the colonoscopy!
