Supernatural peace

Who: Me
What: PET/CT scan
When: Friday morning
Where: Corvallis Clinic
Why: To locate any metastatic melanoma that may be present in my body

I will post something once I hear from my doc. I’m not expecting bad news, but now that the cows are officially out of the barn, anything is possible. I feel great and I’m coping with the stress of this appointment pretty well. At this point, I’m fine with whatever happens in my life. I have some plans for the summer and fall, but if I need further medical treatment, then we’ll deal with that first. If you pray, please ask God to provide me with his supernatural peace in the days ahead. It’s the best drug out there.

Peter, from Washington, DC., my best to you. I'll be on the road on the Eastern Shore of Maryland, thinking of you and praying for the best. Love to you, Ellen, Allie and Nick.

We're way ahead of you. Been praying for peace for weeks and trusting HIM for good results. Hang in there, Peter-- Ellen and the kids, too.

Peter,
Good luck with whatever comes next. I've been hung up with starting a freelancer business including attending my first professional conference since we went to the FOLIO conference together in 2000 (or is that 2001)? In any case, I picked up a lot of new web-based research techniques at the Association of Health Care Journalists conference in Chicago last week. I also returned with a pile of business cards from fellow freelancers, editors, and journalism teachers. With your permission, I'd like to your "top 10 list for aspiring journalists" with some of them. I noticed a lot changes to your blog since my return. The redesign looks good. It should support you until at least 2015, when you can redesign it again. Best of luck, Jim
